Olympic hockey 2018 schedule: Times, TV channels, and live stream info for Wednesday, Feb. 14

  • Wed, 14 Feb 2018 14:44

The men’s hockey tournament begins and USA-Canada meet in the women’s group stage.

Ice hockey at the 2018 Winter Olympics kicks it up a notch Wednesday with a schedule you’ll want to clear time for. Both the Team USA men and women will take the ice for one of the most exciting days on the schedule.

There are five different games set to be played Wednesday, led by the USA-Canada women’s hockey matchup. There are few events in the Olympics more fun than when those two teams face off, so it’ll be must-see TV to anyone who’s awake in the evening. The game starts at 10:10 p.m. ET and will be broadcast live on NBCSN.

Both Team USA and Canada are unbeaten in the group stage so far, so somebody will leave the game with their first loss. However, the result doesn’t matter too much as both teams have already clinched the top two spots in Group A. They’re already ensured byes to the semifinals of the playoff stage.

But the intensity is high anytime those teams meet, and with another gold medal match likely on Feb. 21, it’ll be a fun preview.

The men’s tournament also begins Wednesday with Team USA taking on Slovenia at 7:10 a.m. ET. It’s going to be a much different competition this year without the participation of the NHL, which declined to stop its season to send players to Pyeongchang, but a run toward gold by the Americans would be just as sweet.

The other two men’s games Wednesday will see Slovakia take on the star-studded Olympic Athletes from Russia in the morning, and Finland face Germany in the evening.
