Bus knocks down 28-yr-old

A 28-year-old man was knocked down by a speeding private bus on Hosur Road on Monday afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as Shivakumar Singh, a resident of JP Nagar. He worked for a private firm near Basavanagudi.

Police said the accident occurred at around 3 pm on Monday when Singh was coming from Electronic City. A speeding bus with Tamil Nadu registration plate which was coming from Hosur Road hit him from behind and he was killed on the spot.

Soon after the accident, the bus driver fled the scene. The Electronic City police rushed to the spot and shifted Singhs body to St Johns hospital.
